About

So about me and my skills and why i started custom building PC computer cases and custom audio solutions:

I started working in 3d software back in 1996. My friends introduced me to Strata Studio where I got into extruding splines and deforming meshes. My very first experience of CAD was on Vtech on a work placement back in 1993.

In 1996 I completed a Graphic design course in one year, (it should have been a two year course). The college was upgrading the course and needed us to finish early. Despite the accelerated timeline I completed the course and achieved a Distinction in my Btec 1st in Graphic Design. It was here that I found a love for layouts and using Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop.

In 1997 I started my degree after completing a foundation course at the University of Westminster. In 1998 I got started in Adobe After Effects and really started to like it as it gave me a way to tie together my Photoshop and illustrator skills with animation. When hunting about on the early version of the “interwebs” I discovered Cinema 4d version 4.x. I started using it straight away and almost 20 years later I am still using it!

I graduated from my degree in product design (barely) And after getting fired from my first and second jobs (my fault) I realised my work ethic sucked and I didn’t know how to survive in the graphic design / product design world. They teach you very little at university its pretty much down to you to learn and hit the targets the course sets. They show you a window into a world and its down to you to jump in through the window. My problem was I kept hitting my head on the glass!

The Break through?
This revelation was in the early 2000’s, I developed some internet building skills and learned how to manipulate Google results to the point that I landed my first freelance job in the internet world. After a short time clients and people started to notice my 3d content as well and my career as a freelancer took off. Lots of lessons in time management, how not to do things and some big screws ups I started to find my feet. So over the years I found myself one week in web mode and then the following week working in 3d and designing motion graphics. Being and all rounder has given me a perspective that not all designers get to see. I can
